ABOUT ANNE.
Drawing inspiration from nature, I skillfully incorporate texture into my work through the use of brushstrokes and knife techniques. This approach allows me to develop and define the subject, add depth, enhance perspective, and guide the viewer's eye across the composition. Although I work with various mediums, oil paint remains my primary choice.
I have dedicated over a decade to studying painting at Braitman Studio in Charlotte, NC. My academic background includes art studies at the University of North Carolina, as well as fashion courses at Parsons School of Design and Meredith College.
Additionally, I have expanded my skills through attending workshops and classes with esteemed artists such as Jeremy Lipking, Andy Braitman, Curt Butler, Angela Nesbit, Nicholas Stewart, Alia El-Bermani, Karen Offutt and Aaron Westerberg.
I reside in Raleigh, North Carolina with my husband, Drew, our two sons, and two beloved dogs.
